Soil: soil mix that consists of 2 parts peat moss to 1 part loam to 1 part sand or perlite

Amount of water: Keep soil lightly moist spring through fall. Allow surface to dry out between waterings in winter.

Nutrition: fertilized monthly with a balanced fertilizer diluted to ½ the strength

Special handling: full sun to full shade Without pinching, it will grow with long, single stems and become lanky.
